A township classic, chunky bread filled with achaar, polony, cheese and slap chips, big flavour on a budget.
Ingredients:
- 1 white unsliced bread loaf (cut into quarters)
- 2 potatoes
- cooking oil, for frying chips
- ¼ cup (60ml) achaar
- 1 cheese slice
- 2 Goldi chicken polony slices
Method:
- Peel and cut potatoes into chunky strips to make slap chips. Heat a pot with cooking oil and cook until the chips are golden in colour and the potatoes are cooked inside, and set aside.
- Cut the inner part of the quartered bread and toast it in a pan with butter.
- Spread achaar inside the open quarter, followed by Goldi chicken polony slices, cheese and then chips. Finish with any of your preferred sauces and enjoy.
