Curried vienna pasta

An easy pasta dish, tossed in a curried, sweet and tangy sauce with vienna slices, for a family-friendly meal.

Ingredients:

  • 500g pasta screws
  • 3 Tbsp (45ml) cooking oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 6-8 Goldi Chicken vienna, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp (15ml) curry powder
  • 1 cup (250ml) chutney
  • ½ cup (125ml) tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup (60ml) water

Method:

  1. Cook the pasta as per the package instructions, then set it aside to cool.
  2. In a large pan over medium heat, add cooking oil, onions, red pepper, green pepper and curry powder. Cook until onions are soft.
  3. Add sliced Goldi Chicken vienna and brown for a few minutes.
  4. To the pan, add chutney, tomato sauce and water. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Toss pasta and sauce together. Serve.
