Chicken neck pot

Ingredients:

  • 1kg chicken necks
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 5 carrots, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1½ cup chicken stock
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp chicken spice
  • salt and pepper
  • samp or pap

Method:

  •  Add oil to a pot and fry chicken necks over medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir continuously.
  •  Add carrots and onions and cook until onions are soft.
  • Stir in tomato paste, stock, cayenne pepper and chicken spice.
  • Simmer for 15 minutes or until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
  •  Serve with samp or pap.
